DragonForce is a British-based power metal band that was formed in 1999. Initially, the band consisted of guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman, keyboard player Vadim Pruzhanov, vocalist Z. P. Theart, drummer Dave Mackintosh, and bassist Adrian Lambert. Over the years, the band has undergone several changes in formation.

In 2010, Marc Hudson replaced Z. P. Theart as the band's vocalist. In 2014, Gee Anzalone took over drumming duties from Dave Mackintosh. Frédéric Leclercq replaced Adrian Lambert on bass in 2005, but left the band in August 2019 to pursue other projects. Damien Rainaud and Alicia Virgil filled in for Leclercq during touring, but no formal replacement has been announced as of January 2021.

In June 2019, Vadim Pruzhanov announced on his Facebook page that he had officially left DragonForce in May 2018 after declining involvement with the band. In March 2020, Gee Anzalone was hospitalized with myocarditis and had to skip the band's United States tour, with Aquiles Priester stepping in to fill in on drums.

Despite the changes in lineup, DragonForce continues to be a prominent force in the power metal genre, known for their high-energy performances and fast-paced guitar solos. With a dedicated fan base and a reputation for their epic live shows, DragonForce remains a powerhouse in the world of metal music.
